It’s been a long time since I’ve been able to look at this website.

Just the other afternoon someone asked me if I was over the Super Bowl yet. I’m not and I don’t think I will be until the Patriots play another meaningful game.

To give you some perspective, just the other day I watched Super Bowl XX on NFL Network for the first time since 1986. 22 years it took for me to be able to watch so much as highlights.

Something just wasn’t right on that night in February. I can’t believe more people haven’t noticed this, but one thing that stuck out in my mind was how the team entered the field at pre-game. Maybe it was burn-out, maybe cockiness but there was no fire. And I think that’s a large part of the loss.

I’m not trying to take away anything from the Giants. They were more impressive than any team we faced during the year, including the Week 17 Giants. They had an answer for everything the Patriots tried to do.

The moral of my story is… no, I’m not over it… yet.
